IRRITATION

“IRRITATION” explores controlled disturbance. Three offset, block-like structures appear solid and architectural, yet the joins don’t align the way we expect. Edges slip, planes shift, logic unravels. Graded blues and precise shadows suggest volume, but also reveal fractures in perception. The piece creates gentle unease: something is wrong, but not loudly. It invites you to hold two truths at once, certainty and doubt.“IRRITATION” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

Don’t believe everything you see.

There are circumstances in which we are deceived. Not intentionally, but because perception misinterprets something. Optical illusions in art play with this. They show something that tricks the brain. This form of deception has found its way into our everyday lives. Pretending something in order to gain an advantage from it, although it does not stem from reality, has always existed. But over time, its spread and increase have taken on an opulent scale. This creates the impression that it is better not to believe anything you see anymore. With that attitude, you are more likely to be right than the other way round.

Those who move out in nature and in natural surroundings can escape this condition. Playful optical illusion has been replaced by a fundamental one. That is a shame. While in the past we looked for the flaws in reality or in the truth, the flaw in everything has now become normality. This has a strong impact on the emotional aspects of our personality – on our sense of safety, freedom, health, control, truth, trust, and reality.

If we continually assume that everything we see does not stem from reality, then that does something to us. When the exception becomes the rule, it changes everything. And it does.

The artwork “Irritation” reflects this condition. The condition of when we still playfully searched for mistakes in reality – or let ourselves be impressed and surprised by them. In geometry, this phenomenon can be made very visible and tangible. Hence this artwork “Irritation”, which is part of an entire art series that can only be ordered and purchased via this webshop.

All artworks can be grouped very well into many different series, because there are so many different motifs that all reflect the same character. This sense of belonging, this interplay, expresses the strength of this art series. And it makes it possible to assemble it around so many different themes and to exhibit it in so many different places. In this way, the series fulfils many wishes in private and professional environments as well as in public spaces. Anyone who wants to surround themselves with positive memory culture in order to experience these positive impulses again and again, frequently and continuously, will be very happy with this art series.

Keynography Art

Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
