DANDELION
DANDELION depicts the delicate head of a dandelion, portrayed as a floating sphere made of fine, light-filled structures. In soft shades of blue, the work evokes a sense of lightness, transience, and childhood memories. The filigree form seems to vibrate — almost like a breath on the skin. DANDELION is a poetic symbol of the beauty of letting go. It is part of the Blue in a Square art series featuring 300+ artworks.
Make a wish.
In my memory, the dandelion clock is a symbol of being allowed to make a wish. Like a comet streaking across the sky, running into a chimney sweep for luck, or finding a four-leaf clover.
You take the dandelion in your hand and blow until the seeds float through the air. Then you make a wish. That is why the dandelion stands for a positive culture of memory. Whenever I see it, I feel that warm, comforting sense that a wish might come true. Of course, it has not been scientifically proven what positive outcomes such lucky encounters actually produce. But that is not the point. It is about mindset, the direction of my thinking: picturing something and wishing for it again and again. When these wishes are part of my awareness, they shape my attitude, my decisions, and my willingness to take risks. The dandelion stands for the idea that wishes can come true if you give them a real chance.
