FONTANA OPENING

“FONTANA OPENING” Three sharp, vertical cuts pierce the monochrome blue surface, a homage to Lucio Fontana and his radical understanding of space and matter. “FONTANA OPENING” symbolizes the deliberate penetration of the surface, the rupture of wholeness. The work raises questions about depth, vulnerability, and what lies beyond. A minimalist manifesto for the courage to destroy, as an act of creative revelation. “FONTANA OPENING” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

Opening new spaces, discovering new dimensions.

Curiosity is a constant companion. Fontana expresses this curiosity in his art – in a way that impresses and convinces me to this day. Curiosity is an incredibly powerful driving force, one that will hopefully never stop. To keep finding answers. To keep asking the right questions. To experiment. To fail. To search for paths. Being curious is an essential part of my personality. Wanting to discover and to understand. It is like an insatiable hunger. These images open new spaces and allow new dimensions to appear. The two-dimensional becomes three-dimensional. You can look into the picture and also behind it. What appears so simple and plain has an almost scientific background. For some, these are just damaged canvases; for me, they were and are proof that this kind of curiosity has infected many. Thinking anew. Doing things differently. Wonderful.
