The Fascination with the Particle.
Admiration for the great is everywhere. The great stands out. The great is impossible to miss. But over the course of life, admiration for the small grows. Because at some point you understand that even the greatest thing consists of a sum of small things, parts, and aspects. And that one of these parts already carries the idea of the great within it.
Whether it is the first step of a long journey. The first stone in the construction of a large house. The first kiss of a long love. Or a single drop that holds the idea of the river, the lake, the sea, the rain, and all waters – right down to a glass of water – within it. It’s just that there are many, even very many drops. Or trees that become a forest. Or blades of grass that become a meadow and grains of sand that become a beach.
If the smallest part did not exist, the great would not exist. It is the same in nature, as with bees. They are so small. But without bees, there would be no humanity. Respect and admiration for detail become more and more present as life goes on. Everything, no matter how great, is always the sum of its small components. The supposedly “small” is the true great constructor.
