MTV

The artwork “MTV” features the legendary music channel’s iconic logo, stylized in blue and gray. Minimal yet forceful, it nods to the rebellious pop culture of the 1980s and ’90s, when “MTV” reshaped the music landscape. The piece recalls a time when music videos became an art form and a new attitude to life. “MTV” stands as a visual monument to youth culture, rebellion, and the power of music as an identity-shaping medium. “MTV” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

An entire rebellion goes on air.

When MTV went on air, our generation finally had its own channel. It was like a rebellion that had finally been given its own stage. From then on, MTV ran all day long, if you had your own TV set. It was the expression of my generation. With MTV, we had a sense of status. A new self-confidence. Our own form of expression. Until then, there had only been the rock nights. Those remained important. But with MTV we felt globally connected. What Woodstock was for the generation before us, MTV was for us. New videos were celebrated. New bands discovered. MTV defined the zeitgeist – from fashion all the way to the dance moves. MTV was just for us, because our parents’ generation didn’t even really take notice of it. We finally had our thing. And it felt good to be part of this rebellion, this movement.

The artwork “MTV” is part of the positive memory culture series, which comprises over 300 works. It can, of course, be purchased as a single artwork or as part of a series, together with other positive memories from the time of my generation – the time around the 80s, the Boomer era. It is a joy to be reminded again and again of the wonderful things from this epoch.

Keynography Art

Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
