RACE
The artwork “RACE” condenses speed into a network of curved lanes and overlays rendered in layered blues. Translucent tracks intersect, branch, and converge—like racing lines on a circuit or routes on a subway map. A subtle grid anchors the composition, while rhythm, repetition, and directional shifts create a sense of continuous acceleration. “Race” is both choreography and cartography: a visualization of competition, navigation, and flow, where motion becomes pattern and time turns into layered paths. “RACE” is part of the “Blue in a Square” art series with over 300 works. These pieces are available exclusively online and can be purchased only through this art store.
The Endless Race.
Life often unfolds like a race. Everywhere, everyone tries to be the first. When did you crawl? When walk? When speak? When could you ride a bike? When swim? When English? When surf? When were you done with school? When did you become a father? When did you earn your first money? When were you married? When did you become a boss? Everything in life has to happen fast and as early as possible. But it seems paradoxical. Because all of these aspects are forgotten. All become unimportant. Because new races are constantly being started. As important as they may seem in the moment – no matter which race you are running right now, it will fade into oblivion. It will lose its importance. Looking back, you could have faced so much with far more ease. Because a large part of it happens in life anyway. The last diaper? The last day of school? Crazy how crazy you make yourself, trying to be out front in as many aspects as possible. And yet it makes no sense.
It seems to be one of our strongest drives: to be first. To be on top. To be ahead. But all these achievements have a flaw. At the very top, at the very front, you are alone. Like one of those mighty trees in the park, a solitary giant. You are admired for a moment because, for an instant, you rise out of the crowd. But you stand there alone. And you become a favorite target for lightning in a storm.
The artwork “Race” shows the multitude of races. They flow into one another almost aimlessly and without a plan. You can buy this artwork in the webshop on this website. All you have to do is fill out the online form or send an email. You will then receive a detailed offer and a possible delivery date. Since this is real art, none of this will happen quickly.
