“INDIANA INSPIRATION” – Inspired by Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE motif, this work reinterprets the classic through the distinctive color world of the Blue in the Square series. The four letters are powerfully arranged within a square, with the “O” set at a dynamic tilt. Varying shades of blue create depth and contrast, while the clear formal language conveys timeless messages of affection, unity, and humanity, reduced, modern, yet full of emotional resonance. “INDIANA INSPIRATION” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.
In the eye of the Pop Art movement
Every era has its absolutely outstanding moments. Whether in literature, music, architecture, science, gastronomy, or any other field of society. The artwork “LOVE”, which was originally intended only as a Christmas postcard, is one such central work of Pop Art culture. And it shows that art can unfold a power the creator never anticipated during the creative process. Like writing a hit and being overwhelmed by its success. Or a bestseller. It proves that something truly great can sometimes be hidden in something very small. Created in 1964 as a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, these small works of art still unfold their greatness to this day. And there is still no end in sight. The artist’s series has accompanied me to this day. And the graphic design, the clarity, the colours, the intensity, the originality of it all – their fascination has never faded for me. That’s why it absolutely has to be part of my collection of positive memory culture.
