DEPTH

“DEPTH” presents layered rows of cubes receding into the distance like an endless ramp. The strict perspective pulls the gaze forward, step by step, until shape turns into space and space into direction. Shifts of blue define volume, shadow, and distance. The piece feels like architecture in progress – precise, rhythmic, purposeful. It quietly asks: Where does structure lead when it refuses to stop? “DEPTH” is part of the “Blue in a Square” art series with over 300 works. These works are available exclusively through direct online sales.

The story of infinity.

As a child, I noticed that you can add another number to any number, no matter how large it is. Even to the largest number you can possibly imagine, you can simply add one more. So I already had a first insight into infinity. That fascinated me. That there are things that end.

The next time I remember thinking about it, it was about infinity in the other direction. Not only ever larger, but ever smaller, the limit approaching 0. You can halve a number infinitely often, so it becomes smaller and smaller and will never reach 0. That, too, captivated me.

Infinity is part of our present. But everything that concerns our existence is finite. As a child, I had infinitely many days to live. Infinitely many summers to experience. And then the feeling of finiteness appeared. And as you grow older, it’s no longer one more day, as it was in childhood. Instead, you realise: it’s always one day less. At some point that happens. I can’t say when. But the day comes when it becomes clear: now it’s getting less.

The artwork “DEPTH” deals with this infinity, that penetrates ever deeper, or becomes ever smaller, disappearing into endless space. It is possible to buy the artwork “DEPTH” as a single piece, but you can also put together a collection, a series that is devoted to your own themes. Or to the themes of a company, an organisation, a workforce, a team, a group or a community. Exactly in the way that positively inspires people.

Keynography Art

Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
