EXPLOSION
“EXPLOSION” is a homage to the Pop Art aesthetic in the style of Lichtenstein, dynamic, silent, yet full of energy. The blue blast shatters the grid of dots, capturing a frozen moment of sudden release. The powerful geometry and the contrasts of white, blue, and black propel the viewer’s eye to the center of the action. A visual eruption, somewhere between comic, art, and controlled ecstasy. “EXPLOSION” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

The influence of pop art and comic language is greater than you might think, because it has shaped an entire generation. It was fun to witness how, little by little, the new words from comics started to flow into everyday conversations. Especially those that spoke of big emotions “sigh” and even bigger explosions – “BAM”. Added to this were the fitting gestures and facial expressions meant to underline these expressions. This has continued and solidified to this day. In stories, thoughts, narratives, and conversations, pop art – and with it comic art – has found its place. The influence is visible and recognisable everywhere.

Keynography Art
Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
