COMIC ART

“COMIC ART” With bold energy, the word “BOOM” bursts in rich blue from the center of the image, surrounded by white clouds of smoke and dynamic rays. The style recalls classic Pop Art and comic book aesthetics, where text and image merge into an explosive whole. Sharp contours, high-contrast colors, and exaggerated motion give the scene a vivid theatricality. A visual statement full of humor, power, and pointed drama. “COMIC ART” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

Immersed in a world of speaking images.

We were completely under its spell. We consumed comics the way teenagers usually only consume sweets. We devoured them. And we studied special issues over and over again, because you could always discover something new and different. It always depends on what you focus on when you study a comic. And they were cherished and cared for like a precious treasure.

With comics, a new art form also emerged. It drew on the essential elements of visual language and translated them onto large paintings. They captured the intensity, the energy, and the strong expression, above all the colours, shapes, and elements. So that if you were already magically drawn to the comics themselves, pop art became the supreme discipline. What seemed trivial to the older generation were, for me, the idol images of my generation.
