CROSSING

Like a network of paths that continually intersect, “CROSSING” unfolds in clear lines and deep blue. The sharp-edged forms evoke sails meeting in the wind, routes converging on the open sea. The white spaces in between act like light, offering guidance, a quiet pause between movements. This work is a weave of encounter and direction, of departure and arrival, of moments where paths cross not by chance, but inevitably. “CROSSING” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

You always meet twice.

The idea behind the artwork “Kreuzen” (“Crossing”) was the thought that you keep running into things again and again. Not everyone, but some people and some things. And it’s not only about people; all kinds of things in life, in wondrous ways, come back around and cross my path. This constant crossing has changed the way I deal with everything and everyone over the course of my life.

The assumption that I would never encounter it again was painfully often disproven, sometimes luckily so. Accordingly, I increasingly adapted my behavior to this circumstance. You approach everything in life differently if you assume you might encounter it again. A certain kind of inconsiderateness and thoughtlessness fortunately disappeared along with that. It’s a meaningful development in life. A reunion brings more joy than the opposite, or at least you assume there is reason to be glad.

The artwork “Crossing” is available only online in my art store, thus directly from the artist, and for good reason. This way, the artist and the art enthusiast are closer and can communicate directly. That makes many things easier. You only need to fill out the online form or send an email, and the direct contact is established. I will then reply with a written quote and a date.

Keynography Art

Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
