RACING BIKE

The artwork “RACING BIKE” depicts the minimalist silhouette of a classic road bicycle, rendered with precision and detail in fine shades of blue against a monochrome background. With its slim tires, characteristic drop handlebars, and delicate frame triangle, it embodies speed, lightness, and athletic elegance. “RACING BIKE” is more than a technical illustration—it is a tribute to movement, freedom, and the aesthetic allure of iconic industrial design. “RACING BIKE” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.

To reinvent the wheel.

Every era has its heroes. The road bike is one of them. Like the hi-fi system, it expressed a specific way of life, a vision of how you wanted to be seen. In the 1970s and ’80s, road bikes were considered a bit square. Expensive, yes – but square. It wasn’t easy to get young people excited about riding them. And yet, the road bike grew into a status symbol, an emblem of its time.

Today, bikes from that era have cult status. Certain models fetch absurd prices, even though the technology is outdated. But a Koga Miyata or a Bianchi stands for something, something special. Owning a classic means something. It sounds crazy, but a road bike is now cool. And a rarity is the crowning height of cool. The artwork “Rennrad” (Road Bike) captures precisely this paradox: that something can become a cult icon even if it was uncool in its day, because it embodies a specific set of emotions. It’s about what it brings back to us, what it signifies, and the feelings attached to it. In this way, “Rennrad” becomes a statement.

Keynography Art

Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
