TURN
The artwork “TURN” depicts an angular volume constructed from layered, slightly offset bands in graded blues. A bright, near-white band at the core seems to twist the block, imparting inner tension. The oblique perspective evokes architecture, stratified matter, or pages fanned open. Between rigor and motion, a crisp rhythm emerges: “TURN” condenses change of direction, balance, and the instant when structure slips into movement. “TURN” is part of the art series “Blue in a Square”, which includes 300+ artworks.
Set things in motion.
What fascinates me about architecture and design is the unexpected. Time and again I come across things I’ve never seen before. The number of variations is endless and it never stops. Design never ends; it keeps evolving, driven by new requirements, change, and innovation. Design is usually tied to function. When function changes, design changes.
Design gives function a face, a body, a character. That’s why I admire design that expresses independence and uniqueness: it shows pathways, recognizes possibilities, and seizes opportunities. Ingenuity never ends. Every generation brings forth its designers and architects who shape the look of their era, like Dieter Rams in the 1960s, Jonathan Ive more recently, and, in architecture, Frank Gehry.
The artwork ‘Turn’ is such a tribute to design and architecture, to the unusually beautiful. This piece from the series can be ordered exclusively online via this art store. Keynography Art
Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
