MATISSE
“MATISSE” is a homage to the organic forms of the great French master. In monochromatic shades of blue, abstracted, plant-like silhouettes unfold into a lively interplay of surface, form, and rhythm. The composition feels both playful and meticulously composed—like a dance of cut-out shapes on a light background. A tribute to lightness, nature, and reduction in the spirit of modernism. “MATISSE” is an artwork from the “Blue in a Square” art series with over 300 works. Each piece is available exclusively online and can be purchased only through the art store.
How art brightens the spirit.
When I see beautiful art, something magical happens to me. My mood, my spirits, my whole state of mind feel electrified. And everything charges up in a positive way. It’s like looking out at the sea or across the Alps. When the senses are given something pleasant to look at, it carries over into your own state of being. It’s always been that way. I just wasn’t aware of it before. When I think of certain artworks, see them, or picture them in my mind, it does something to me – in a positive way. Art has an effect.
That’s why I tried my hand as an artist early on. Because when you make art, it changes you. You feel free, safe, arrived and accepted. Encounters with art – and making art, have a positive effect on me. There are artworks I use to lift my mood. I only have to think of them. Matisse is such an artist. And he created countless works of this healing and powerful kind. When I think of Matisse – his blue, his flowers, his artworks, it’s like listening to Beethoven’s 5th piano concerto or enjoying a crème brûlée. Like looking at a waterfall. Or watching the sea.
The beauty of Matisse’s works is so incredible that they had to become part of my positive memory culture. I associate such positive feelings with Matisse that, like Hopper, he must not be missing. People who have no connection to art are missing something they don’t even know exists – and don’t know they are missing. Art is a psychological nutrient. A basic staple food for the mind.
The artwork “Matisse” is part of a series of more than 300 works full of positive memory culture. The artwork “Matisse” can be purchased on its own or as part of a series, for anyone who likes to be surrounded by many positive impulses.
Keynography Art
Keynography Art is a new digital art form founded by Christof Hintze, with no AI being used or applied, created in Apple Keynote—originally a presentation program. Through the precise interplay of complex stencils, masks, lines, and many layers and shadows, shapes, depth, and spatial effects are built up—like a collage, but entirely digital. The result feels like a graphic relief: clean, detailed, and surprisingly three-dimensional, even though it is made from simple Keynote elements. More about it in my bio…
